Premier League: Chelsea Wins (7-0), Manchester City Easily Dominates Brighton

Must Read

This season, the Premier League has a very tough and exciting fight at the top. In addition to Liverpool’s resplendent form and just after Chelsea’s 7-0 win at Norwich, Manchester City impressed at Brighton & Hove Albion in the ninth round. With, at the end, a crushing and almost restful victory established in half an hour of play. The Sky Blues are now in second place, two points behind the leader, waiting for the Reds game tonight.

Even without their two strikers Lukaku and Werner, injured against Malmo (4-0) on Wednesday in the Champions League, Chelsea had no problem to defeat Norwich, the red lantern, 7-0 on Saturday in the 9th day of the Premier League!

Ideally launched by early goals from Mount (8th) and Hudson-Odoi (18th), the Blues never doubted in this game and James (42nd), Chilwell (57th), Aarons (62nd) and Mount, author of a hat-trick (85th sp, 90th+1), have pushed the nail in the coffin against the Canaries reduced to ten after the expulsion of Gibson (65th).

City

After winning 1-5 at Club Brugge in the Champions League, Manchester City followed up with a second away win in a few days in the ninth round of the Premier League. The Mancunians, with Kevin De Bruyne on the bench for part of the game, won easily 1-4 at Leandro Trossard’s Brighton.

In the standings, Manchester City, with 20 points, is now in second place and two points behind Chelsea. Brighton, on the other hand, is still stuck in fourth place with 15 points.
