Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth flew to India last night to attend the 18th G20 Summit in New Delhi on 9 and 10 September. The Head of Government will head the Mauritian delegation.

Pravind Jugnauth will also have a tête-à-tête with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The Daily Telegraph reported at the weekend that Prime Minister Sunak’s entourage will be organising a party with bouquets of flowers and “non-stop dancing” to Punjabi music.

Dr Gautam Dev Sood, 65, the Punjabi-born British Prime Minister’s maternal uncle, said all members of the family had been invited to the Indian capital to mark his arrival.
