A metal hook landed on the head of a 44-year-old woman who was walking along Corderie Street, Port-Louis this Wednesday morning, October 12. The victim who lives on Cocoterie road, Roche-Bois had to go to the Dr. A.G. Jeetoo Hospital, Port-Louis to be treated after getting a 58 year old form.
It was around 11 am this Wednesday, October 12 that this accident occurred. The forty-year-old was walking along Corderie Street, Port-Louis coming from the direction of Desforge Street to head towards Royale Street. At one point she felt an object fall on her head in front of a store. She had an excruciating pain at the same time. Next to it, a metal hook was lying on the sidewalk.
A man who was standing on a stool must have said to her, “madam enne erer finn arrive sa”. This man had the same name as this store. She told the police that she could identify him.
The victim went to the Pope Hennessy Police Station to get a form 58 before going to the hospital. During the day she gave her statement at the Trou-Fanfaron Police Station. An investigation was opened.
