Olympic Games: Merven Clair Ready To Fight In A Few Hours

Must Read

Only a few hours before the fight of Merven Clair against the Jordanian, Zeyad Eishaih Hussein Ashash in the category of under 69 kg. The latter will make his first fight in this competition, and this can be seen as a slight disadvantage. Indeed, last Saturday, the Mauritian boxer, Merven Clair defeated his opponent, the Canadian Wyatt Sanford on points (5-0).  This victory allowed him to get into the rhythm of the competition and he knows what awaits him in the ring of Arena de Kokugikan in a few hours.

As a reminder, the Mauritian has just returned from a training camp of preparation in Russia especially for these Olympic Games. He made it clear that he is psychologically and mentally ready for this competition. A fight scheduled at 6:48 am, Mauritius time.

However, this Monday 26 July, there was no luck for Julien Paul. The Mauritian lost in men’s singles against the Brazilian, Ygor Coelho (21-5, 21-16).

In swimming, Alicia Kok Shun, 16 years old, took the seventh place of the second series of 100m breaststroke.  She had a time of one minute 15 seconds and 42 hundredths.
