Motorcyclist Killed At Camp De Masque Pavé

One hundred and thirty deaths on our roads since the beginning of this year. Indarjeet Teemill, a 46-year-old bus driver also known as Vinod Tokonn, is one of the victims. He was killed on the evening of Sunday December 17 on the road to Balance John, Camp de Masque Pavé. He had skidded off the road on his Jialing motorcycle. A doctor on board an ambulance from the Service d’Aide Médicale d’Urgence (Samu) was called to the scene but was unable to confirm the victim’s death.

It was around 11.40 pm on the evening of Sunday December 17 when the Camp de Masque Pavé police station was alerted to an accident on the Balance John Road. Arriving on the scene, police discovered a man lying in a pool of blood and a motorcycle off the road, two meters from his body. He was subsequently identified as Indurjeet Teemill, who lives not far from this right His body was subsequently taken to the morgue of the Dr Bruno Cheong hospital in  Flacq before being transferred to the Dr A.G. Jeetoo Jeetoo, Port-Louis for an autopsy. The autopsy, performed by Dr Prem Chamane, Principal Police Medical Officer, attributed the death to multiple injuries.

An investigation has been launched to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this tragedy.

Indarjeet Teemill’s funeral is scheduled for this Tuesday, December 19 at a1 hours. He will then be cremated at Beau Vallon, Petite Cabane, Camp de Masque Pavé.
