Lady Club M Beats Pakistan 2-1 In Four-Nation Cup Thriller

Important win of the “Lady Club M” against Pakistan with the score of 2 goals to 1 on Sunday. It was in the “Women’s international friendly Championship” in Saudi Arabia. This was Mauritius second clash of the four-nation Cup after a thrilling contest at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium, Al-Khobar on Sunday.

After Mauritius took an early lead in the fourth minute via Jheemla Chiara, the Pak Shaheens skipper Maria Khan equalised for her side in the ninth minute, scoring the only goal for Pakistan.

In the second half, Pakistan’s goalkeeper Nisha Khan was exceptional as she denied a penalty. But minutes later, Mauritius took the lead in the 64th minute with a wonder strike from distance by Goapaul Juliemarie.

However, Pakistan had the chance to equalise as they were given a penalty, but skipper Maria couldn’t capitalise on the opportunity as she failed to convert it.

The Lady Club M delegation is currently in Saudi Arabia as part of the Women’s International Friendly Championship. Their first meeting took place on Wednesday 11 December against Saudi Arabia who won by 1-0 win over Mauritius at Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in Alkhobar. The same night, Pakistan beat Comoros by the same scoreline in the opening match of the competition taking place at Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in Akhobar

Mauritius final encounter is against Comoros on January 19.
