Following the release of Irfaan Meerun on 27 October, Anas Lallmohamed on 3 November and Shezad Seeroo on 15 November, six other suspects were released on bail this Monday. They are Muhammad Mujahidin Ruhomutally, Mamad Choomka, Abdoollah Tawqueer Munsoo, Mohammad Djbrail Munsoo, Yousouf Mungroo and Umar Fardeen Jeenathally.
All six appeared in court in Port Louis North. The police indicated it is no longer objecting to their release. Magistrate Shavina Jugnauth set their bail at Rs 25,000 and the debt recognizance at Rs 500,000.
Two other suspects, Noor Mohammad Ally Hosanee and Muhammad Ajmal Aniff Imrit, appeared before the Bail and Remand Court on Monday. They were released on bail of Rs 15,000 and an IOU of Rs 100,000.
Incidents occurred at La Citadelle on 21 October during the Gran Konser. In all, more than thirty people were arrested in this case.
