In Souillac: Two Armed Individuals Attack A Sexagenarian In His Yard

Rs 35 000. This is the amount of money that two thugs took from the home of a sexagenarian on the evening of Friday, November 11 in Souillac. The victim, who lives alone with his elder brother who is bedridden, surprised two individuals who were lurking around the back of his house. When questioned about their presence, the two men, one of whom was carrying a sword, began to struggle with him. One of them placed a hand over his mouth to prevent him from shouting. Under threat, he was forced to take them to his prayer room where he withdrew a sum of Rs 35,000 to give to his attackers.

It was around 8:45 pm on Friday, November 11. This 62-year-old man surprised two men who were prowling around the back of his house, his yard not being fenced. One of them was wearing a mask and the second was holding a sword. The sixty-year-old explained in his statement made at around 10:00 pm on Friday, November 11, that he questioned them about their presence at his house. At this moment, these two men started to fight with him. One of these two men placed a hand over his mouth to prevent him from calling for help.

He was threatened and these two men demanded money from him. He then led them inside his house, showing them a cupboard in his prayer room. They left with the sum of Rs 35,000 in different denominations. The two men left the house of this sixty-year-old in an indescribable disorder before their departure. Although he was not injured, he was taken to Souillac Hospital for treatment as he was experiencing pain in his left arm and neck.

The Criminal Investigation Division of Souillac was assigned to this investigation.
