Minister Bobby Hurreeram was alongside PPS Tania Diolle and MP Subashnee Lutchmun-Roy at a press conference this Saturday. Referring to the Angus Road case, he brought out the heavy artillery against Roshi Bhadain. He said that Bhadain had nothing to say on Angus Road when he was in government and “when he was kissing Pravind Jugnauth’s hand“. According to Bobby Hurreeram, it was when he left government that Roshi Bhadain came back with the Angus Road case.
Minister Hurreeram insisted that ICAC had nothing incriminating against Pravind Jugnauth. Now, according to him, with the complicity of a section of the press, Roshi Bhadain has come to attack the integrity of Pravind Jugnauth. “He is coming to drag the Prime Minister through the mud. He is making vile accusations and allegations about the Angus Road case,” he said.
“Roshi Bhadain can say whatever he wants and make whatever allegations he wants. It will not change anything because we believe in the good faith of the Prime Minister. We have a track record and we are confident that he is taking the country to a better future,” Bobby Hurreeram said.
For his, it is now important to refocus the debate. “People are asking where Britam’s Rs 1.9 billion has gone. The police must investigate. The ICAC must investigate and the culprits must go to jail,” he said.
