As every year, the Sunni Razvi Society organized a gathering to celebrate Eid Ul Fitr this Thursday. A number of personalities were invited to this Eid Milan Party. The Prime Minister, Pravind Jugnauth spoke about an injustice towards Muslim widows which his government rectified. He also commented the situation in Middle East. He recalled that government has decided to organize a Teledon to help Palestine. He also spoke about the resolution before the International Court of Justice against Israel politics in Palestine. The Prime Minister also announced that Mauritian Government has set up a diplomatic mission, through a consulate, in Saudi Arabia. He also announced that the Saud Kingdom has already informed him that they will set up a full-fledged embassy in Mauritius.

Mutual aid inside the Muslim community must be commended, says Duval

The Leader of the Opposition spoke about mutual aid inside the Muslim community. He said that this helped many Muslims to achieve social mobility. For him, this is commendable. He said that this sense of sharing and helping can help all categories of Mauritians to have a better future. He also spoke about the situation in Palestine. He said that after the next general elections, he intends to make a trip to Palestine and welcomed everyone who wished to accompany him.
