The following 16 horses been retired from competition: V. Allet : Charleston Hero, Copenhagen, Jet Path, C. Daby : Steak And Ale, Gujadhur : Black Cat Back, Captain Falcon, R.Gujadhur : Kamadeva, S. Jones : Seventh Rule, S.Mahadia : Clouded Hill, R. Maingard : Afdeek, Alramz, Memphis Mafia, Skip The Red, Tsitsikamma Dance, P. Merven: Alameery, and P. Nagadoo: Majestic Moon.
Inauguration, I’m Al, Trying Times, Tullamore Dew, French Rebel, Castle Of Glass and The Contractor, all trained by Vicky Ruhee, have been temporarily taken out of training.
Of those seven horses, Inauguration, Tullamore Dew and Castle Of Glass finished in the placings this season.
Charleston Hero: In 56 races, he won 9 times and finished in the placings on 24 occasions.
Copenhagen: He made 22 starts on our turf. He won four races and finished in the placings on 11 occasions.
Black Cat Back: He ventured out 21 times on our turf, winning four races and finishing in the placings on 10 occasions. Of those 4 wins, three of them came in Group races, with his final win occurring in the 2020 Swan Duke Of York Cup.
Kamadeva: He raced 22 times on our turf. He started his Mauritian career in 0-25, winning on his debut on Duke Of York Cup day in 2019. He would go on to strike six more times, including victory in the Noble Salute Cup in 2021.
Afdeek: In 33 races, he won 12 times and finished in the placings on a further 12 occasions.
Memphis Mafia: In 54 outings, he won eight races, and made it into the placings 23 times.
Skip The Red: He raced 35 times, winning 9 races and finishing in the placing on 12 occasions.
Tsitsikamma Dance: He arrived on our shores in 2019 for the ex-Jean-Michel Henry Stable. He raced 11 times, winning once and finishing in the placings on six occasions. Transferred to Ricky Maingard Stable in November 2020, he raced 17 times, winning once and being placed 13 times.
