Laurent L’Entêté expressed his satisfaction with his performance. “I was aiming for a top 30 overall. I did better than that. It’s incredible. In a world class race, you have to hang on as long as possible. I will now focus on the African Championships in September. I thank my family and my coaches for their support and not to forget the Mauritius Olympic Committee”, he said.

As for Julie Staub, she was also able to raise her level during this elite event by finishing in 22nd place out of 32 participants in 1h 05min 33sec.
