Residents of Grand-Baie and surrounding areas are invited this Saturday to participate in a campaign to clean up the beaches of the locality.
The meeting point has been set for 8:30 am on the petanque field of the locality, For the need of the ‘contact tracing’, it is advised to the participants to be registered on the spot. According to the village council of the locality, it is important to keep the village clean in order to give a good image of the country in the context of the reopening of the borders.
The garbage on the beach will be deposited next to the petanque court. Water bottles will be distributed to the participants thanks to the help of the sponsors. It should be noted that the Grand Bay waterfront has recently received a facelift.
The benches and tables on the public beach have been redone. Trash cans have also been installed. Local residents are now asking for benches and kiosks to be installed in front of the beach, which is located next to the local police station.
