Car Hits Metro Tram In Phoenix

Must Read

A 30-year-old woman working as a marketing manager crashed into a Metro Express streetcar in Phoenix early Wednesday evening, September 27. The resident of the coastal village of Flic en Flac says she didn’t see the light turn red or the streetcar arrive. Both vehicles were slightly damaged. She was given a breathalyzer test, which came back negative.

The accident occurred at around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27.  She was driving her blue Suzuki from Phoenix towards the former Med Point clinic when the accident occurred. In her statement, she explained that she didn’t see the traffic lights turn red, nor did she see a streetcar coming from the direction of Curepipe towards Rose-Hill.

The streetcar driver, a 43-year-old resident of Goodlands, also gave a statement. The driver was released on parole.
