Must Read

“Tensyon to nek trouv ene transport trap twa met twa dan loto”. This is the vocal threat received by a 12-year-old girl on her cell phone on the evening of Wednesday March 29. This Sainte Croix resident gave a statement to the Abercrombie, Sainte Croix police station for breach of Information and Commucation Technologies Act ( Icta) in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 30. She says she fears for her safety because she does not know the intention of this individual.

This middle school student attending a private college explained in her deposition that she was in her room when she started receiving calls on WhatsApp from 11:35 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday March 29. As she does not know this number, she says she did not pick up. She then began to receive voicemail messages from a male voice. One of these messages is as follows, ““Tensyon to nek trouv ene transport trap twa met twa dan loto”.

Frightened, she told her mother about this affair. Shortly before one o’clock in the morning this Thursday, March 30, she went to the police to denounce this person who broke the law of the Icta. During the day of Thursday March 30, she went to the IT Unit of the police at the Central Barracks to have her mobile phone, an iPhone model 11 Pro Max, examined.
