The laboratories of the Ministry of Health and Welfare carried out 2,416 PCR tests on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
The last results were obtained late in the evening.
- 2 cases were detected on Day 7 in quarantine. These are patients admitted with a negative PCR test.
- 2 cases were detected thanks to the Contact Tracing exercises in progress.
- 4 cases were detected at the COVID-19 Testing Center at Dr. A.G. Jeetoo Hospital.
This is a family living in Pailles. The epidemiological link between these 4 people has already been established. 1,177 people have contracted COVID-19 since March 5, and as of yesterday afternoon, 784 of them considered to be cured were able to return home.
The country currently has 376 active cases of COVID-19 and as of this morning, only 45 of them were admitted to New ENT Hospital due to pre-existing comorbidities or mild symptoms requiring medical surveillance.
