While Germany’s Magull (79th) had put the two teams on an equal footing during regulation time in response to Toone’s opening goal (62nd), Sarina Wiegman’s English team finally regained the lead thanks to Kelly (111th), who was well placed at the end of a corner. An unprecedented success for a great nation of women’s soccer, which becomes only the 5th selection to win the European championship!
