A part of the Mauritian delegation has already taken its quarters at the Tokyo Games Village.  The Mauritians landed in Tokyo around 5:55 pm on Tuesday, July 20. After the usual medical examinations undergone at the airport, the Mauritian sportsmen as well as the leaders who accompany them do not present any sign of Covid 19.

The Mauritian delegation will be complete with the arrival of boxers Richarno Colin and Merven Clair, as well as coaches Roberto Ibanez and Judex Basile, after a transit through Seoul, South Korea. The boxers are in a training camp in Russia.

Jeremie Lararaudeuse, the 110 m hurdles specialist will leave Mauritius on July 25 for the Japanese capital.

As a reminder, the Mauritian delegation is composed of eight athletes namely Roilya Ranaivosoa (weightlifting; -49 kg), Alicia Kok Shun (swimming; 100 breaststroke), Richarno Colin (boxing; 64 kg), Merven Clair (boxing; 69 kg), Jérémie Lararaudeuse (athletics; 110 m hurdles), Matthieu Marquet (swimming; 100 m freestyle), Rémi Feuillet (judo; -90 kg) and Julien Paul (badminton; men’s single).
