Nathan Josué Mercure, a 29-year-old tiktoker, was arrested on Tuesday February 7th on a charge of cruelty to animals. This resident of Roche-Bois was brought before the court of Pamplemousses this Wednesday morning, February 8. The trial was heard, and Tasha Lamour recognized the facts which are reproached to him and was fined Rs 5000.
It is following a complaint from an Animal Control and Enforcement Officer of the Mauritius Society for the Animals Welfare (MSAW) at the Baie du Tombeau police station during the day of Tuesday, February 7 that Tasha Lamour was arrested. This officer was denounced after he became aware of a video on social networks in which Tasha Lamour was throwing stones at two puppies in the Baie du Tombeau area near a beach.
Tasha Lamour was released on parole this Tuesday afternoon, February 7th, after giving his statement. Tasha Lamour is under investigation for contempt of a police officer. Under the custody of a police officer at the Roche-Bois police station after his arrest, the latter had played loud music on his cell phone.
