A teenager has recounted her ordeal at the hands of her new friend in Mare d’Albert in a statement made on Thursday evening, July 14. This resident of New-Grove explained in great detail how she was assaulted before being sequestered for 42 hours in an abandoned house. She says she was also deprived of food by this young man.
It is in the presence of a lawyer that this 19-year-old woman related her most traumatic misadventure in her deposition made around 7 pm on Thursday, July 14. She first of all made the history of her meeting by telephone with a certain “Yoan”, 22 years old and inhabitant of Mare d’Albert on Sunday, July 10. The same day, they started to exchange messages.
The next day, Monday, July 11, around noon, they went to Mahébourg where they spent the day. Around 4 pm, they took the bus to return to their respective homes. At the request of “Yoan”, she got off at Mare d’Albert near an elementary school. The young man had asked her to accompany him to his mother’s house, who would live in Curthan Lane, Mare d’Albert.
They headed to an abandoned house. As she saw this suspicious place, she did not want to go there and tried to turn back. “Yoan,” she said, grabbed her by the hair and pulled her inside this house.
