Must Read

Sad end for Hassen Bunourah this Monday morning, December 27. The 79-year-old man died at the wheel of his car at about 8:45 a.m. on Bernardin Road in St. Pierre, Vallée des Prêtres. The septuagenarian was coming from the direction of Chitracoot and was driving in the direction of Port-Louis when his car, a gray Nissan, left the road and hit a tree on the right side of the road. Hassen Bunourah was killed on the spot.

It was before 8:45 a.m. on Monday, December 27, that this accident occurred. The Abercrombie Police Station, St. Croix, was alerted to the accident and quickly dispatched a team of police officers led by Sergeant Ramsamy to the scene. Hassen Bunourah, who was driving his Nissan, was already dead.  An ambulance from the Emergency Medical Service (SAMU) was called to the scene shortly after the accident. The doctor on board could unfortunately only note the death of this driver. The victim lived in the Vallée des Prêtres.

The body was then transported to the morgue of the Dr. A.G. Jeetoo Hospital in Port-Louis for an autopsy.
