Launched last year, the Sarah Association provides free medical, legal and psychological support to victims of road accidents. Anne Sarah – the President tells us more.
In 2018, Anne Sarah was in a serious accident and her 39-year-old brother died on her birthday. Finding herself bedridden for months, she tells us that “it was during this time that I had the idea to found the association. The main goal is to fill the gaps that exist in the system when you are a victim of a road accident.
The association thus offers medical, psychological and legal support: “We have a doctor, a psychologist and two lawyers who offer free advice to victims. If the victims want to use the services of these professionals, it is at their discretion and the association does not interfere.”
For the time being, the association receives victims by appointment only: “We have an office at Shantilall Dhanjee Street, Rose-Hill. We receive the victims there only by appointment. Those who want to benefit from our services can call us on 57 45 86 76.
In addition to a blood donation last year which was a great success, the association is currently working on several projects which will be completed shortly.
