These plants, which measure between 10cm to 1m40cm, were discovered in the backyard of this suspect. These plants, which weigh four kilos, are estimated to be worth Rs 560,000.

It is around 4:30 pm this Monday, December 19 that a team of the ADSU, led by Sergeant Balooa, searched the house of this Indian national after having information that he was engaged in drug trafficking. It was after hours of surveillance that an operation was launched.

The information of these policemen turned out to be true. Several cannabis plants were grown in different pots in the backyard of this man. Confronted with these exhibits, the suspect was quick to confess to being the author of the cultivation of these plants. He was placed in a cell in the detention center of Moka.

This Tuesday morning of December 20, he was taken back to his cell after his appearance before the court of Flacq.

On the other hand, around 12:30 pm this Monday, December 19, a search carried out by police officers of the ADSU of the Central Division, led by sergeant Gokhool, in a forest in the area of Mare aux Vacoas allowed to uproot 8275 cannabis plants, which measure between centimeters to 30 centimeters. An investigation was opened to trace the cultivator of these plants. The market value of these plants is Rs 33 100 000.
