Rs 2 Million Worth Of Iron Bars Taken From A Warehouse In New Grove

A most audacious theft was perpetrated with break-in in a warehouse in Deux Bras, New-Grove. It is to the detriment of an owner of a hardware store that fifty tons of iron bars worth Rs 2 million were taken. The thieves forced a padlock on the door of this warehouse to gain access inside. The owner, a 43 year old man who lives in the village, noticed this late in the afternoon of Wednesday, June 29.

It is at the police station of Rose-Belle that this owner went towards the 18 hours this Wednesday June 29 to report this case of theft. In his deposition he explained that this theft would have occurred between 3 p.m. on Tuesday May 3 and 4 p.m. on Wednesday June 29. After an inventory, it was established that fifty tons of iron bars, of different dimensions were stolen.

This warehouse is a stone building and covered with sheet metal. The place, which is not fenced, is not under surveillance by cameras or guards. Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of Rose-Belle were seized with this case. They viewed several surveillance cameras from Safe City at the New Grove junction, the Riche-En-Eau traffic circle, the Cluny junction and the road leading to Domaine La Grave.
