Mauritian Katie Mauthoor took second place in the Rennes Marathon, France, last Sunday, 24 October 2021. She completed the 42, 195km distance in a time of 2:53:36. First place went to Aude de la Mettrie in 2h 51 mins 00sec.
The marathoner who represents the CIMA Pays d’Auray Athlétisme club thus improves her best performance over the distance which was 2:56:08 since 24 November 2019.
In a correspondence to the Mauritius Athletic Association (MAA), Katie Mauthoor explained that her preparation for the Rennes marathon was compromised as she was unwell.
She also displayed her ambitions for the next season by inquiring about the marathon minimums for the various major continental and intercontinental events that will take place in 2022.
