The spokesperson of Rezistans ek Alternativ has been summoned for the third time to the CCID on Tuesday. The investigators are going to remove the seal on the pen drive he submitted last time. The pen drive contains a soft copy of the documents called Kistnen Papers. The investigators needed Ashok Subron to be present when the seal will be removed and the contents of the USB stick examined. This is what Subron said on Tuesday morning before heading to the quarters of the CCID. It should be noted that the CCID initiated an inquiry, following a letter referred to the police by the Electoral Commissioner. It was the letter sent by Rezistans ek Alternativ calling for an inquiry following the publication of the Kistnen Papers in the press.
The spokesperson for Rezistans ek Alternativ made a statement after leaving the premises of the CCID. He said this it is the “duty of the police” to question the three elected representatives from Constituency No. 8 on their electoral expenses. Ashok Subron submitted a digital copy of the ‘Kistnen Papers’ to the investigators on 19th August. He was called today to be present when the investigators will remove the seal on the USB drive and examine the documents. He said that the CCID had forwarded the digital copy to the Information Technology (IT) Unit of the police who printed the documents. “We did our duty”, Ashok Subron stated while adding that “it’s up to the police to begin the investigation.” Ashok Subron also demanded that the police and the CCID make an “official” request to the court in Moka, where the judicial investigation into the death of Soopramanien Kistnen is taking place to establish the “authenticity” of the copy of the Kistnen Papers that they have submitted to the CCID.
