PlayStation PSVR 2 is coming early in 2023

Must Read

Sony, via Twiter and Instagram, has officially confirmed the release window for the PlayStation VR 2. The PSVR 2 release window is confirmed to be early 2023.

Of course, ‘Early 2023’ isn’t specific enough for us, yet it’s the first concrete piece of information on the PSVR 2 release date that we’ve had from Sony.

It is assumed that ‘early 2023’ means during Q1, so January, February, or March.

As it announced see-through view and customizable play area, Sony also pulled a sneaky on us, with a final sentence at the end of the blog post:

“We’ll share more information soon, including the launch date and additional games coming to the platform.”. Of course, the word ‘soon’ has a very loose definition when it comes to companies and big new releases, so it could be next week, or it could be in 3 months. We’ll keep you updated when it happens, though.

According to Britain based gaming website WePC, the PSVR 2 is expected to be released towards the end of 2022 or in early 2023. Sony has been especially tight-lipped about a release window for their new headset. The PSVR2 release date looks to be around the end of 2022 if we’re lucky.

This year at CES 2022, Sony took to the stage to bring us information about the Playstation VR2, which looks to take the mantle from the original Playstation VR and become its own advanced gaming VR headset for the people.

However, competition is a little bit stronger since the last time that Sony threw its hats in the ring. The Japanese multinational will have to face competition from the likes of HP, Meta, and more.
