“Pathaan Vs Tiger” Starring Shah Rukh Khan And Salman Khan Is Set To Begin In 2024

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will be starring in producer Aditya Chopra’s “Tiger vs Pathaan” the latest film in the spy universe. The film will begin with its principal photography in January 2024 in Indian film production Yash Raj Films studio.

Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, “Pathaan,” became the biggest hit of the year so far in India earning up to $130 million. The spy universe began with the Tiger franchise, featuring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, with “Ek Tha Tiger” (2012) and “Tiger Zinda Hai” (2017), and continued with “War,” with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. These four films have collectively grossed about $300 million.

“Tiger 3” will be the next film in the spy universe which is said to be released in November during the Diwali festival holiday in the Indian subcontinent.

In the Tiger franchise, actor Salman Khan plays Avinash Singh Rathore who is also known as Tiger, who works for the Indian intelligence agency RAW while Katrina Kaif plays Zoya Humaini, an ISI agent from Pakistan. In “War”, Hrithik Roshan plays Kabir Dhaliwal, who is a RAW agent gone rogue and Tiger Shroff is his partner Khalid Rahmani. Shah Rukh Khan plays the role of a banished RAW agent in Pathaan and Padukone plays ISI agent Rubina Mohsin. 

Tiger appears in an extended cameo in “Pathaan” and the film also features Colonel Sunil Luthra (Ashutosh Rana), who previously appeared in “War” and is expected to appear in “Tiger 3” 

At the end of “Pathaan,” Tiger and Pathaan are seen contemplating their possible replacements without naming any names and drawing a conclusion that they will continue the task of saving the nation. 

Around 50% of Yash Raj Films’ upcoming theatrical projects are expected to be a part of the spy universe.
