NJ The Legend : 3rd International Consecration!

Must Read

Directed by Sada Rajah and Désiré Prévost, the film NJ The Legend won the award for best biographical film at the Cannes World Film Festival on November 25. The two directors are asking the government to intervene to give the film more visibility.

After Druk International Film Festival, The Indiefest Film Awards, NJ The Legend – a film that pays tribute to the late jockey Nooresh Juglall, has won another award.

Sada Rajah, one of the producers, is very pleased: “This film is so emotional that I knew it would touch the hearts of the jury. We sent it to three festivals and each time we were rewarded. This proves that the film industry is doing well.”

However, Sada would like the state to help him promote the film both in Mauritius and abroad: “I think it’s a pity that the MBC has not yet signaled its intention to broadcast the film to its viewers. If possible, we also want the government to help us promote the film abroad. That would be a huge incentive for us.”

As a reminder, NJ The Legend is a 90-minute film that follows the journey of Nooresh Juglall who died after a heavy fall on May 15, 2021 during a horse race.
