Met Gala, one of the world’s biggest fashion events saw big names from the entertainment industry who wore their best, elegant, and bold but some made special statements with their extraordinary attire. The event that took place in New York City on Monday night is a yearly fundraising gala to contribute to the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.
The theme of Met Gala this year was “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” to honor late fashion designer’s life and contributions in the fashion world. Big fashion houses like Balmain and Chloé, Chanel, Fendi, and others featured his designs; he also had his own brand. The event was co-chaired by Roger Federer, Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel, Penélope Cruz, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
This year some of the celebrities to grace the event were Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas with husband and singer Nick Jonas, rappers and singers like ASAP Rocky and Rihanna respectively, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Olivia Rodrigo, Jenna Ortega, Jared Leto, who was dressed as Karl Lagerfeld’s Cat, Choupette, Vanessa Hudgens who wore a black-and-white gown with a flowing train, and Gisele Bündchen, who wore a white fur at the Met Gala.
