Man Collects Rs 2500 And Returns It To Police

The honesty of a 61-year-old machinist living on Boulevard Hugon, Vallée-Pitôt has left the police officers at Pope Hennessy police station, Port-Louis, speechless. The man was driving his motorcycle along Baden Powel Street, Port-Louis when he found bank notes scattered along the road. He picked up a total of Rs 2500 before going to the police to return it.

It was around 5:45 pm this Tuesday afternoon of October 18 when this machinist, who was on a motorcycle at Baden Powel Street, noticed some banknotes. He had to collect these banknotes, count them before going to the Pope Hennessy police station to hand them over to an officer in charge. There were two Rs 1000, two Rs 200 and one Rs 100 banknotes on this service road.

As of yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, October 19, no one has come forward to the police to report the misplacement of this money.
