Like his son, Bruneau Laurette appeared at the Moka Court this Monday. But unlike Ryan Luca, he remained in custody afterwards. His lawyer, Shakeel Mohamed, made two motions, namely the first motion for Bruneau Laurette’s release on bail and the second motion for the striking out of the provisional charges against the activist. Both motions will be debated on 2 December.

The social activist made a long statemen, where he listed the elements that he wants to see in the videos of the search of his home. In the last hearing, Superintendent Krishna Kumar Rajaram had said that the activist will be confronted with the search videos. This Monday, Bruneau Laurette said he wants to see the part where police officers had put gloves on his face, body and inside his polo shirt. Bruneau Laurette also said he wants to be confronted with the part where the police found money and a wooden ornament from 1850 in his house. He stated that the video should also show the part where ASP Jagai spoke to him. Finally, Bruneau Laurette also stated that he wants to be confronted with the part where police officers opened the trunk of his car, showed him three bags, and shouted: “This is hashish“.
