Jean Andy Jovanee Baron, a notorious 30-year-old recidivist, escaped from the staff toilet at La Gaulette police station on the afternoon of Wednesday October 25. The suspect ran off without his pants after passing through a fanlight. Andy Baron, a homeless man, is being actively sought.
The suspect was arrested on Monday October 23 in connection with a theft. On the same day, he was brought before the Bambous court and held in a cell until next Monday.
As he was being taken to the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) office in La Gaulette for questioning, he had to inform a police officer that he had a pressing need. He was then taken to the second floor of the police station to relieve himself.
The suspect, who complained of losing his balance, was placed in a toilet with the door ajar so that the policeman could keep an eye on him.
Suddenly, he rushed towards the transom without his pants on, before jumping out of the building and fleeing in the direction of Morcellement La Flèche. He was wearing only a blue T-shirt and a pair of slippers.
The entire CID office staff set off in pursuit, but to no avail. A search party was organized to find him, but to no avail. This operation mobilized men from the Flic en Flac and Rivière Noire CIDs. A sniffer dog also took part in the search.
