Hot favourite before the 35th meeting was cancelled last weekend, Bless My Path will face Royal Wulff, and Xavion in this Saturday’s main race over 1400. Xavion was not in the equation last time and he will have a good chance of winning.
The cards have been reshuffled in this main race with Xavion replacing his stablemate Blackburn Roc. Xavion scored two wins in his first two outings, including the first classic race of the season beating Captain Lannister. He then did his best against Walls Of Dubrovnik in a handicap race, finishing second at 2.65L. Xavion was injured on his last outing and finished far from the winner. He is a very good horse in this category. Xavion seems to have fully recovered and he can be back in the winner’s enclosure.
Bless My Path has shown great consistency. He has two wins and a second place in three outings this season. He won easily in the B66 on Metting 30 and he is moving up a category this time to face better runners.
Bless My Path is fast at the start and can even try his luck from start to finish in the absence of a real front runner. He also has a very good finish. Which makes him the logical favorite for this race.
Royal Wulff has not be able to win again after his victory on his first outing in June 2022. He brilliantly won The Duchess Of York Cup (1400m – G2). He then took a fine second place behind Frosted Gold in The Barbé Cup (1600m – G1). He was disappointing after this race in 2022.
He’s a very good finisher who hasn’t been outclassed in any of his four outings this season. He’ll be wearing blinkers for the first time in Mauritius and he will try to follow more closely this time. He will right there if he is not too far behind before entering the final straight.
