Stage 3 & 4: Winner of the second stage yesterday, Christopher Lagane of Team MCB has become the new leader of the Tour de Maurice 2021 and remains in an excellent position to double the lead in the individual time trial (16.7 km) this morning in Le Morne at 8 am.
The danger for him should come from Sebastien Elma from Reunion Island, who had beaten Christopher Lagane in the individual time trial of the Jeux des iles 2019 by three seconds.
Then, in the afternoon at 2:00 pm the peloton will start from Black River and will go along the West and South coast before reaching the finish in Curepipe at the end of 86.8 km around 4:00 pm. This course should not be a problem for Christopher Lagane who has excellent qualities as a runner and climber.
Double winner of the Tour de la Réunion (2017 and 2018), Christopher Lagane, with the support of the MCB team, is well on his way to win his first Tour of Mauritius
