A webinar on Fintech and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Lending – Impactful tools for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Investment vehicles, was held today, targeting journalists and members of the local media. It was an initiative of the Mauritius Africa Fintech Hub, the Media Trust and Fundkiss.
The aim was to ensure better understanding of the concept of crowdfunding, crowdlending and P2P lending as a financial innovation for Mauritius and a tool for sustainable economic recovery.
The main speakers were the Deputy Editor of PlatformAfrica.com, Mrs Nishika Bajaj, and the Director of First Principles Consulting Limited, based in Kenya, Mr David Cracknell.
Participants were acquainted to the themes relating to the transformation of the Financial Services Systems and Peer-to-Peer Lending’s growth potential for Mauritius and the African continent. They were also equipped with the knowledge to present these concepts in their writings in a simple and reliable manner.
