CP Will Challenge The Release Of Akil And Avinash Bissessur And Doomila Moheeputh

The Commissioner of Police is going ahead. He will be challenging the release on bail of Akil and Avinash Bissessur as well as Doomila Moheeputh. Anil Kumar Dip, represented by solicitor Shamila Sonah Ori, has lodged a motion before the Supreme Court. The motion will be called before the Chief Justice, Bibi Rehana Mungly-Gulbul, on July 10. It should be remembered that as soon as the DPP representative announced in the Mahébourg court on Monday that there was no objection to the release on bail of the three suspects, the Commissioner of Police indicated his intention to appeal against this decision. Three affidavits have been sworn to this effect.  The three person were charged after the seizure of 1,022 tablets suspected to be ecstasy, during a Controlled Delivery operation carried out at the lawman’s home in Dreamton Park, Sodnac.
