The drop in the number of cases is maintained in the bulletin of this Friday, June 3rd. As a result of the past week, the Ministry of Health reports 114 positive local cases and 44 imported cases via PCR tests. The mortality rate due to Covid 19 is 1. Vaccination remains on the rise.
The admission rate also remains low. 1 patient was registered in regional hospitals and 14 in the new ENT Hospital, where a fully vaccinated patient, aged over 60 years old with several comorbidities, is on life support and 13 are on oxygen, of which only 1 is fully vaccinated, 3 partially vaccinated and 8 not vaccinated.
Vaccination is steadily increasing with 1,009,857 people having received their first dose and 976,757 for the second dose. For Booster Dose I, 240,201 at Johnson & Johnson, 8,810 at Sinopharm, 2,825 at Astra Zeneca, 266,721 at Pfizer and 104,791 at Moderna. For Booster Dose II, 8,129 people were inoculated, of which 7,976 were Pfizer, 147 Moderna, 5 Johnson & Johnson and 1 Sinopharm. For the adolescent campaign, 75,370 have received the first dose of Pfizer and 69,246 the second. For the paediatric dose, i.e., pupils aged 5 to 11 years, the Ministry announced a total of 4,978 children inoculated.
In Rodrigues, 73.21% of the population has received the first dose, 72.05% the second and 15,071 the third.
