Covid 19 : 66 Omicron Cases And 27 Deaths For The Past Week

The death toll caused by Covid for the past week is 27. In addition, this Friday morning, the deaths of 3 positive patients, admitted to New ENT Hospital, were reported to the Police. They were over 60 years old. Sequencing for the period 23 January to 13 February shows 3 cases of Delta and 68 cases of Omicron, including 2 from Rodrigues.

1710 local cases by PCR

Cases of COVID-19 are increasing. While the Ministry’s communiqué for the week reported 1710 local cases detected by PCR tests and 66 imported cases, the communiqué announced 257 positive cases.
