The Department of Health and Welfare laboratories performed 2,641 PCR tests Firday, July 16, 2021. The results were obtained late in the evening.
- 56 cases were detected on Day 5 in a dormitory operating under quarantine center conditions. Residents of this dormitory therefore had no contact with the local community.
- 25 cases were in COVID-19 Testing Centres.
- 7 cases were detected through ongoing Contact Tracing exercises.
- 4 cases were detected on Day 7 in quarantine.
1,927 people have contracted COVID-19 since March 5 and as of yesterday afternoon, 1,245 of them were considered cured and were able to return home.
To date, the country has 660 active cases of COVID-19.
