An inspector from the Revenue Protection Section of the Central Electricity Board (CEB) reported a case of electricity theft from a building at Avenue Conde No. 2, Morcellement, Raffray, Pailles. An illegal connection was made to a CEB electricity pylon to power a multi-story building.
It is following several complaints of electricity theft that this inspector went to this locality on the morning of Wednesday, January 5. Indeed, this officer saw a cable, which is illegally connected with a network of the CEB to supply a building with electricity.
The owner of this building was questioned by this inspector about this, but she declared “mo pa konne manien ladan”. This building brought out this inspector is occupied. He said he could not say since when this illegal connection was made and even less, the amount stolen to the detriment of the CEB.
An investigation was also opened on this case at the level of the police of Pailles.
