Body Fished Out Of River In Bois-Marchand

A gruesome discovery was made this Friday, May 27, in a river in Cité Bois-Marchand, Terre-Rouge. The lifeless body of Kenny Isnard, 27 years old, was found with his clothes. The body was recovered by police officers from the Terre-Rouge police station before being taken to the morgue of the Dr. A.G. Jeetoo Hospital, Port-Louis for an autopsy by Dr. Maxwell Monvoisin, Principal Police Medical Officer. The autopsy, performed on the evening of Friday 27 May, attributed the death to a pulmonary hemorrhage, probably caused by an overdose.

It was around 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, that the Terre-Rouge police station was alerted to the presence of a body in the river of this locality. Forensic technicians were dispatched to the scene to collect evidence before the body was removed from the area.

Kenny Isnard was one of two children. This father of two young children was trapped in drug hell. He was divorced. The police of Terre-Rouge opened an investigation to know the circumstances in which this man found himself in this river.

During the autopsy, samples were taken from the victim for toxicological analysis at the Forensic Science Laboratory in Reduit.

The funeral of this resident of cité Bois-Marchand is scheduled for this Saturday, May 28.
