American Rapper Megan Thee Stallion Claims Fellow Rapper Tory Lanez Shot Her

Must Read

American rapper Megan Thee Stallion has very emotionally explained in a courtroom testimony her “shock” at how fellow rapper Tory Lanez allegedly opened fire on her.

“I can’t believe I have to come here and do this,” she told a jury in Los Angeles.

The rapper said she was fired in the feet after coming out of a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s house.

Jurors were informed that before the accused opened fire with five shots, she insulted him and demanded to be let out of a luxury car.

Megan Pete, her real name, 27, declared that her alleged attacker was infuriated after she insulted his musical talent.

She continued saying that Daystar Peterson, the 30-year-old defendant, had commanded her to “dance” before opening fire in the Hollywood Hills on 12 July 2020.

However, Peterson has denied multiple gun and assault charges in connection with a dispute with the Savage artist.

If found guilty, he would be imprisoned for up to 23 years.

While recalling the incident in the courtroom on Tuesday, she said, “I’m in shock. I’m scared. I hear the gun going off, and I can’t believe he’s shooting at me.” Her testimony came on the second day of the trial, according to the LA Times.

While telling about the incident, she turned teary-eyed on the witness stand, showing regret for ever having come forward about the incident.

“I wish he would’ve just shot and killed me if I knew I was going to have to go through this torture,” she told the court.

Stallion left a row of blood at the site and went back into the vehicle, but was stopped minutes later by police.

In his initial statement, prosecutor Alexander Bott said that a gun was found on the floor near where Peterson had been sitting, it was still warm from the fire.

He claimed to be on probation for a firearms offense, according to Megan Thee Stallion, who testified that the Canadian hip-hop singer had made her an offer of $1 million to stay silent about the incident.

She originally claimed to have cut her feet on the glass when speaking with police.

She confessed to the court she had lied due to her apprehension regarding how the police would react, especially at a time when there was huge unrest regarding nationwide racial justice in the summer of 2020.

“At the time, we are at the height of police brutality,” she testified, “I felt like if I said this man has just shot me, they might shoot first and ask questions later.”

A few moments after the shooting one of Megan’s female friends texted her security, saying, “Help… Tory shot meg.”

After her call asking for help, several bullet fragments were removed from her feet, but not all fragments were removed and she told investigating officers that she had difficulty walking in certain shoes.

The prosecutors said that Peterson had claimed in a phone call, that he had “profusely apologized for his actions” and he was “just too drunk.”
