American Actor Angus Cloud died on Monday at 25, said his family. He died few days after his father passed away. The family stated that he suffered from mental health issues and the death of his father affected him deeply as he was his “best friend” who was buried last week.
The family’s statement said, “Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”
Angus Cloud’s career
Cloud starred in few films and television series but he gained fame with 2019’s famous teen drama series ‘Euphoria’ on HBO. The series saw him playing a committed drug dealer, Fezco, but one who maintains morality.
The story takes on a ride with California high school students indulging in sex, drugs and violence. Cloud’s character Fezco O’Neill, popularly called as ‘Fez’ gets intimately bonded with female protagonist Rue Bennett played by Zendaya. Though shown leaving rehab, Angus’s character continues to struggle with leaving addiction. In the end, police arrest Fez after a shootout.
Euphoria won various awards, Emmys being one of them while another is for Zendaya’s role for which she received a Golden Globe. The show expressed their grief over the actor’s demise on social media site X, saying, “We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”
The show went on for two seasons, from 2019 to 2022, with some special episodes airing in 2020 and 2021. The third season of the show will air in 2025, as per IMDB’s, rating and reviewing site, website.
