The Ministry of Health and Wellness wishes to draw the attention of non-vaccinated personnel and affiliated personnel of the Port Services, Airport Services, Charitable Institutions, Private Homes and Mauritius Prisons Services, of the following information, pertaining to their forthcoming compliance with the COVID-19 (Restriction of Access to Specific Institutions) Regulations 2021.
- Administration of a 1st dose of a COVID-19 vaccine is currently ongoing in 17 dedicated vaccination centres around the island, every weekday and on Saturdays from 09 00 Hours to 15 00 Hours. The vaccination centres are as follows:
- Plaine Verte Youth Centre
- Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre, Pailles
- MFD Conference Centre, Freeport, Mer Rouge
- J&E Building (ex AXA), Nr Sunray, Coromandel
- Rivière du Rempart Youth Centre
- Anjalay Stadium, Pamplemousses
- Riche Mare Community Centre
- Cote d’Or National Sports Complex
- Shri A.B Vajpayee Tower, Conference Hall, Ebène
- Omnicane Business Getaway, Plaine Magnien
- Rivière des Anguilles Village Hall
- Aquarelle, Surinam
- James Burty David Gymnasium, Curepipe
- Pandit Sahadeo Sports Complex, Vacoas
- Plaza, Rose Hill
- Germain Comarmond Stadium, Bambous
- Central Warehouse, Castel
- In the event that personnel or affiliated personnel of the above mentioned services and sectors cannot get vaccinated following a medical advice coming from either one of the Ministry’s vaccination teams or a Private Medical Practitioner, he/she will have to submit his/her name to his/her employer or Officer in Charge.
- The employee or Officer in Charge will submit the list of names and contact details of the non- vaccinated personnel to the Ministry of Health and Wellness on: [email protected] Those who are self-employed and have to carry out professional activities in the specific institutions above can also send their names and contact details on the same email
- The Ministry of Health and Wellness will submit an appointment list to the employer or Officer in Charge and contact those who are self-employed, so as to allow them to be medically examined by one of the Ministry’s Panel of Medical Officers already set up in all 5 Regional
- Those who are found to be non-eligible for COVID-19 vaccination will receive a non-eligibility certificate delivered by the Ministry of Health and
- Those, who after being medically examined by the Ministry’s Panel of Medical Officers, are found eligible shall proceed for vaccination or produce a Negative PCR Test of not less than 7 days in order to gain access to their respective places of work, in compliance with the provisions of the COVID-19 (Restriction of Access to Specific Institutions) Regulations 2021
- The Ministry of Health and Wellness will not emit PCR test Results Certificate for those found eligible for vaccination by the Ministry’s Panel of Medical Officers.
