WhatsApp Might Soon Let You Upload Voice Messages As Status

Must Read

WhatsApp is developing a feature that will enable users to record audio messages and publish them as status updates. Once the functionality is available, the app should let you record an audio message similar to how you may do so in the chat, says WABetaInfo.

The functionality may also support uploading existing audio clips, though there is no official confirmation. WhatsApp enables users to transfer existing audio files in messages.

Considering the privacy settings you have used for your photographs, videos, and other media, voice recordings you use as status updates will be viewable by all of your WhatsApp contacts. Also, these updates will be completely encrypted. As testing for this update has not yet started, it is not known when these functions will be available for users worldwide.

According to Mashable, Currently, WhatsApp is merely the most recent platform to try voice posts for various uses. Twitter has just begun experimenting with the ability to submit voice tweets on iOS. Only a small number of users are participating in this test. Contrary to Twitter, the site already accepts audio communications and has done so for some time now, so the inclusion of voice notes as status updates feels more natural.
