A young woman, 22 years old, was slapped and assaulted with an umbrella at her home in Palma, Four Horns on Sunday evening, January 9. She went to the police station of Quatre-Bornes this Wednesday, January 12, to denounce her companion to this effect. She left the prenatal ward of the Victoria Hospital in Candos during the day on Wednesday, January 12, where she was admitted since Monday, January 10.
In her statement, she explained that she has been living with this 27-year-old man, a snack bar owner, for 6 years. From this relationship was born a son, now four years old. This young woman specified that she is 7 months pregnant. In the evening of Sunday, January 9, she was with her companion in the snack bar where a discussion degenerated into a fight after she reproached him for his past life.
Her vexed companion, who was under the influence of alcohol, had to slap her twice on her right cheek with his left hand before grabbing an umbrella to hit her face. Afterwards, he pushed her against a sink. Although she was not injured, she said she felt pain in her face and body and had to go to the hospital for treatment.
The police have opened an investigation into the case.
