Succeeding to Jacques Charles whose contract expires on the 30th September 2021, Raoul Maurel will be, as from the 1st of October, the new Chief Operations Officer (COO) of the Heritage Resorts brand, a high-end hotel chain of the Veranda Leisure and Hospitality (VLH).
Having started his career in 2003 within the VLH group, Raoul Maurel contributed to the opening of Heritage Awali in Bel Ombre in 2004. After a rich career in the hotel industry, he returned to VLH first in 2008 to take the reins of Veranda Pointe aux Biches. Then in January 2021 to occupy the position of Chief Experience Officer. This last role allowed him to breathe new life into the Heritage Resorts brand. Particularly with new experiences enhanced by discovery and well-being as well as inspired by the nature of Bel Ombre which customers will be able to experience as from the month of October. As the new COO, he will also oversee the operations of La Reserve Golf Course which is currently under development.
As soon as Raoul Maurel takes up his new position, one of his many missions will be to strengthen the positioning of the Heritage Resorts brand as a world benchmark for refined luxury in the hotel sector. With nearly 20 years of experience in the hotel industry, le COO to be, plans to continuously focus on innovation. But also, on the maintenance of high quality standards to which he is strongly attached, with the total opening of the borders next October.
