White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre criticized the attack and emphasized in an official statement that the prayers are with Speaker Pelosi’s whole family. She added that the US President is wishing all good for Paul Pelosi in his prayers. Biden also called House Speaker in the morning to extend his support after the lethal attack.

He is also very glad that a full recovery is expected. The President continues to condemn all violence and asks that the family’s desire for privacy be respected.”

After Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul was hit with a hammer at the couple’s San Francisco home, US Vice President Kamala Harris spoke with Pelosi. Assault was described by her as “an act of severe aggression.”

Analysts claim that in the event of the President’s incapacitation, the US Speaker would take the Vice President’s place as US President.
