Mwa Et Mwa: Alexandre Martin’s Double Je

Must Read

Following the success of his two previous shows with the character Ah Kwe, Alexandre Martin returns this time with Mwa et mwa – the comedian’s first one-man show. Two dates have been set – November 25 and 26 at 7pm at the Caudan Arts Centre.

The bulk of the show is ready. However, the comedian is still fine-tuning a few things before taking to the stage for his very first one-man-show. But why did it take so long? “I have to admit that it’s a project that’s been sleeping in my drawers for a long time. Up until now, I wasn’t ready to go out on stage alone and face an audience for over an hour. But sometimes you just have to jump in without thinking too much.”

For the show, the artist has chosen to talk about himself: “In a way, it’s going to be a bare-bones affair. And for good reason, I intend to reveal the anecdotes and much of what I’ve been through so far.”

While everything is well on the way to being ready for the big day, Alexandre still has one more thing to deal with – the flyer: “There’s an extra bit of stage fright in the sense that I’m going to be alone on stage for the first time. But I’m seriously working on it,” replies the comedian with a smile.

Tickets are on sale for Rs 350 at the Caudan Arts Centre.
